Taylor and Ashley both begrudgingly found themselves on Hinge; he was still stationed in Georgia, and she was in Pittsburgh.

He "liked" her photo since both of them were too cheap to pay for the app subscription. She sent him a simple "thank you", which left him perplexed on how to respond…like how does one respond to “thank you” in a cute but not annoying kind of way?

Taylor obviously figured it out because he and Ashley are here as a testament that you can, in fact, find "your person" with a simple heart emoji and a "thank you."

They talked every day since that fateful day in January of 2024, immediately knowing this connection was different—one worth building and waiting for.

After Taylor moved to Pittsburgh in the spring, they bought their first home together in August of 2025, combining their dog children, Chubs, Dylan, and Millie into a vintage 1905 home in the cute little town of Coraopolis.

This home will forever be special not only as their first home together but also because on the morning of August 29, 2025, Taylor proposed in the living room, playing their favorite song and asking Ashley, "to be his Wednesday Addams forever."
